First Light: why we publish at N=0

Astronomers call a telescope's first observation first light. The instrument comes before the discoveries, and nobody mistakes an empty logbook for a broken telescope.

This site launches with three questions, two hypotheses, and three claims, every one of them Narrated. It has one draft experiment and zero observations. Those numbers are printed on the front page because the alternative is pretending. Nothing here becomes true because it sounds convincing.

What exists today is the instrument: the object model, the evidence tiers, the provenance discipline, the machine renderings, and the rules that make every future claim inspectable by any reader, human or machine, without trusting us. What does not exist yet is data. The difference will be visible on this site as it changes, revision by revision. That visible change is the point.
