Recommendation survivability

Recommendation survivability is whether a company remains in the recommendation set as a buyer adds requirements, requests validation, compares alternatives, and moves toward selection. Selection is the eventual outcome. Survivability describes movement through the evaluation before selection is reached.

To be recommended and stay recommended, a vendor has to survive a series of gates: getting surfaced, passing screening, holding up in a comparison, clearing validation, and making the final cut. Each requirement a buyer adds can change who remains, which is what the experiments below record.

The part we can measure today is survival as requirements are introduced in sequence. The fuller notion, holding up under re-sampling, newer models, and repeated follow-up, is not yet a settled measurement; that sits behind our evidence method and the open M-1 question. We keep the term here so the site does not lean on a word it cannot yet fully define, and we report what we can defend at its tier.
